MoM: Permissions/Contact Post

This is a general permissions and contact post for those who'd rather talk via comments here. I'm also available on Discord at Cellarspider#9984. I'll be happy to chat either way.

General permissions/preferences:
Maiming/death: Generally alright with it, just ask permission first.
Sexual stuff: No players or characters under 18, otherwise generally alright with permission. This includes non-platonic physical contact and badtouch.
Prose vs. Brackets: I tend to favor prose, but I'll do either.
Backdating: Totally fine, and will respond to old threads whenever possible.
Fourth Wall: Nah, poor guy's got enough to worry about.
Content warnings/triggers: Got none to worry about. Will put standard content warnings on log posts, and tag/cw any posts on this blog as requested.

Now, on to the tl;dr about a specific power or two that needs some special consideration!

While I prefer to contact players ahead of time for any power use that affects others, there's one quick one that people should be aware of, and another in particular that should be laid out. First, having some amount of Imperial blood in him, Lucien has the Voice of the Emperor ability, which basically acts as a charm spell. Not enough to make a person totally malleable, just enough to raise their opinion about him for fifteen minutes, once per day. From unhappy to neutral, neutral to good, good to inadvisably good. Anyone who's down for that, let me know!

Thanks to an ascended glitch and the powers that be of MoM, Lucien now has the ability to dreamwalk, but only in the minds of murderers.

Lucien can enter the dreams of murderers and physically affect them in this state. Whether or not a character is a murderer depends on the will of the gods Lucien worships, not the target's perception of himself: the Night Mother defines murderers as those who kill for any other reason than immediate self defense, war, or to fulfill their duty as an officer of the law.

More details below, but if you're interested: Let me know if your character counts as a murderer by the standard outlined above, and whether you would like Lucien to mess with them while they're asleep.

If Lucien chooses a murderer to target for this power, he will appear in their dreams the next time they sleep. They will remain asleep until such time as they would usually wake up, given their sleep schedule or situation, unless woken up by someone. For example, a person taking a nap on the bus will wake up when they hear their stop or are jostled awake. Lucien can proactively leave the dream, but it takes him ten seconds to disengage. Unless requested by the player, all powers are still accessible to the target.

Lucien is likely going to use this to talk to people covertly. Should things turn violent, death usually means a person will just wake up, none the worse for wear. However: Lucien will manifest in the dream with a specific dagger called the Blade of Woe. Injuries sustained from the Blade of Woe manifest physically on the sleeper. Injuries sustained in the dream do not wake up the sleeper. If a person is killed by the Blade of Woe in the dream, it carries over to the waking world.

To make things more fun, Lucien isn't immune to this. If you can get the Blade of Woe away from him, he's in trouble.

That's all the details that were contained in my application and revisions. Let me know if anyone has any questions, and I'll be happy to provide more information!
