encouraging, all the same.
That's the one. I ran into him right as he killed someone who was going to kill him, and helped cover his tracks. You know, dispose of the body and clean up the blood.
Self-defense, then. [Shame it wasn't murder, but then again, a murder discovered would have been disappointing in its own right. Perhaps it was better that his hand was forced.]
He's most experienced with those guns everyone's so fond of, but he had a little training with knives. I decided to supplement that.
Oh, I'd recommend not attempting concerted outreach to him, by the way. One would risk the impression of attempting to replace his departed father.
Other worlds have to make up for their magical deficiencies somehow, I
suppose.
Oh, and in the interest of your safety, brother: he's capable of moving in
complete silence, a power I envy dearly. While I believe he's stable enough
to not become a threat to us, do take care.
His power seems to extend beyond what Illusion renders conventionally
possible. I'm not sure he even needed to touch something to render it mute,
he simply needed to be close.
But I would never object to more training, certainly. Any advantage we can
get is worth taking.
